17th Hole

17th Hole – Par 4 – 310 yards (Ladies – Par 4 – 300 yards)

A superbly shaped short par 4. Accuracy, not length, is needed off the tee to avoid the penalising trees and rough on the right and arrive at the corner of this left to right dogleg. The approach shot is made uphill to an elevated green with a narrow entrance protected by bunkers and run off slopes. Overshoot, or miss on the right, and you are faced with a devilish downhill chip onto a green which slopes severely from back right to front left.

This is a gem of a par 4 at this stage of the round and can be a ‘card wrecker’.

Pro’s Tip

Another risk/reward for the longer hitters. You can be aggressive but be accurate. Another very tricky green. Keep below the hole.
